Aline Maybank is a second-year Master of Public Health student in Environmental Health Sciences, concentrating in Climate Change and Health. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Medical and Environmental Sciences from Dalhousie University. Her research investigates the effects of wildfire smoke on air quality, human health outcomes, and community climate adaptation strategies. In the past, Aline has worked as the Team Lead & Researcher with the NASA DEVELOP Program, a Community Air Quality Researcher & Educator with the Healthy Air Network, and an Environment & Government Affairs Intern at the United Nations Environment Programme. She is passionate about utilizing remote sensing technology to more equitably research air quality impacts on community health.
