I am a first-year Mathematics and Environmental Studies student at Yale College, concentrating in biodiversity and conservation. My interests lie in understanding the impacts of natural disasters, particularly wildfires, and analyzing trends in their effects. At the Yale Center for Geospatial Solutions, I work on data searching, collection, and visualization to examine wildfire trends, including the number of fires, acres burned, and associated climate conditions. My goal is to provide insights into environmental changes and disaster patterns throughout the last few decades. Previously, I interned with DIYA Research, where I gained experience in Python and data visualization, where I presented at the World Youth in Science and Engineering (WYSE) program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I’m passionate about using data science to combat environmental issues and gain a deeper understanding of how climate change is driving more disastrous climate-related disasters.
