This event has passed.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Apollo 13 Movie Night at YCGS!

Apollo 13 is a critically acclaimed film that won Best Sound and Best Film Editing at the 1996 Academy Awards. It powerfully portrays the real-life story of the Apollo 13 mission—an extraordinary tale of human resilience, innovation, and teamwork in the face of near disaster.

While the mission fell short of its goal to land on the Moon, it became one of NASA’s most iconic moments—a "successful failure" that demonstrated the brilliance and determination required to bring three astronauts safely back to Earth.

The story of Apollo 13 continues to inspire, reminding us of the risks and rewards of space exploration, and the incredible things we can accomplish when we work together under pressure.

We hope you enjoyed revisiting this gripping chapter of space history— and look forward to our post-screening conversation with Fred Haise himself on Tuesday 9 at the Planetarium!
