The Earth Observation Lab (EOL) was created in 1992 to consolidate and promote the use of satellite remote sensing throughout the Yale community. In December 1993 the EOL opened its central facility on the second floor of Bingham Laboratory on Sachem Street.

Our experts come from every corner of Yale and pioneer the use of geospatial tools across all disciplines, from food security and urban planning to forestry and astrophysics.
