Huck is a junior at Yale College double majoring in Global Affairs and Earth and Planetary Sciences. These majors complement Huck’s interests of renewable energy development and environmental policy. This past summer, Huck interned for the offshore wind project Vineyard Wind, helping transition the project from the construction phase to the operations and maintenance stage. In addition to Vineyard Wind, Huck was also an intern for YCGS, where he analyzed community acceptance of renewable energy using data from the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication (YPCCC). Currently at YCGS, Huck uses Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology and high-resolution imagery to correct tree coordinates in a dataset for the New Haven tree project. When Huck is not studying for classes or georeferencing trees, you can find him running to East Rock, singing at Mory’s, or discovering new spots around New Haven!
