This event is free and open to the public.

Some of the films we're excited to bring to New Haven include Giants Rising (Best Environmental Documentary Winner at the Arizona International Film Festival), Arresting Science (a US premiere), and Bring Them Home (Big Sky Award Winner at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival).

In addition to in-person events, EFFY is proud to launch EFFY Online. This allows those who can't attend the festival in person to have the opportunity to watch several of the films from home, though they'll miss out on seeing film directors and stars discussing in person. Virtual screenings also allow us to include several more films in the festival. While not every film has been announced yet, virtual film blocks are:

  • Communities and Conservation in the American West
  • Personal Stories of Climate Change
  • Stories from Hearts of the Tropics
  • Growing Better, Together
  • Our Past and Our Tomorrow
