Nadia Zikiou, Ph.D., is a remote sensing scientist and geospatial data specialist with expertise in AI, satellite Earth observation, and environmental analytics. She previously served as an Associate Research Scientist at the Yale Center for Geospatial Solutions and as a Hutchinson Postdoctoral Fellow at the Yale Institute for Biospheric Studies and the Department of Computer Science at Yale University.

Her work focuses on applying machine learning and geospatial analysis to environmental monitoring, including fire severity mapping, carbon storage, biodiversity, and water resources. She has extensive experience working with multispectral and hyperspectral satellite imagery, LiDAR data, and large geospatial datasets to develop data-driven workflows for understanding landscape dynamics and environmental change.

Nadia has conducted research and collaborative projects in Africa, Southeast Asia, and the United States and is an FAA-certified drone pilot with experience in UAV-based mapping. She also contributes to interdisciplinary geospatial projects and mentors students in GIS, remote sensing, and AI applications.
