Brianna Castro, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Urban Sustainability at the Yale School of the Environment, where she leads the CLIMA (Climate Migration and Adaptation) Research Lab. As a climate social scientist, her research examines climate change adaptation, human mobility, and urban sustainability, with a focus on how communities navigate climate change, land use shifts, and climate migration. Her work integrates qualitative fieldwork, spatial analysis, and archival research to understand local socio-environmental dynamics and regional adaptation strategies both across the United States and internationally.
