Cece is a first-year Master of Forestry student at the School of the Environment, with a focus on urban environmental justice.
She previously worked as an environmental planner at SRPEDD, a regional planning agency in Massachusetts, where she conducted projects related to municipal ecological restoration and community resilience. While living in Boston, she later worked at Mount Auburn Cemetery and spent time volunteering at the Harvard Arnold Arboretum, Boston Food Forest Coalition, and the Allston Brighton Food Pantry.
Currently, Cece is interested in knowing more about systems of reciprocity and how New Haven’s urban forest supports residents during heat events. Outside of the office, you can find her hiking, baking focaccia, or working on one of her many crafting projects.
