An Introduction to UAVs + UAV Lidar Collection and Processing

Join us for a hands-on workshop on uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) and their applications in research.
Participants will:
- Learn the fundamentals of UAVs, including main components, types, and advantages/limitations
- Explore UAV payloads such as RGB, multispectral, hyperspectral, thermal, and lidar sensors
- Take a deeper dive into UAV lidar—covering mission planning, data collection, data processing, and post-processing
- The workshop includes both classroom instruction and a UAV flight session, giving participants practical experience with UAV lidar workflows.
